CARES Act Relief Fund Application

The CARES Act Relief Grant will be dispersed for reimbursement in two (2) main phases. Phase one (1) will cover any expenses accrued from March 1, 2020 until July 15, 2020 for the following entities: Fire Protection Districts, Clinton County Health Department, Public Safety, and Healthcare Providers. The applications for phase one (1) need to be submitted no latter than August 31, 2020 for them to be accepted to be reviewed by the County Commission.

Phase Two (2) will cover any expenses accrued from March 1, 2020 until July 15, 2020 for the following entities: school districts and small businesses. The applications for phase two (2) need to be submitted no later than October 30, 2020 to be reviewed as well.

The CARES Act Grant application Documents are now available and you can download a fillable version below. If you are a business you must submit a W-9 or your application will not be processed until we receive it.

CARES Grant Small Business Application

If you are a small business in Clinton County that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, please download and fill out the application (both documents) below and include receipts and other justifications for your request for CARES Act Relief Funds. Small Businesses are also required to fill out the certification application document (above) and send it notarized with their small business application. Please see the “Small Business Required Documents” file for further guidance on all documentation needed to be eligible to receive any CARES Grant funds.

Once completed, all applications must be submitted to the County Clerk’s Office where they will be given to the County Commission for review. Please note that you must provide proof that these expenses were accrued outside of your of your regular budget (show the original budgeted amount and how much you went over your regular budget). The County Commission has the authority to approve or deny any item or application that is considered not related directly to COVID-19 expenses that are outside of the entity’s regular budget.
